Mindfulness was introduced to the Western world by dr. Jon Kabat Zinn in 1979 in the United States. Today there is so much scientific research about the positive effects of the regular mindfulness practice, that many big companies use it for the benefit of their employees and of their business, it's a "win-win".
But what Mindfulness actually is? In short, it is about:
- being aware,
- in the present moment,
- non-judgmentally.
It sounds so simple yet, since modern life became so fast and demanding and since we are not thought emotional intelligence nor the mental-emotional self-regulation in the school, in practice most of us live big part of the time on autopilot focused on our "to do" lists and compromising our health and wellbeing. We face a general overactivation of our nervous system and there is not enough space for just being, resting, relaxing and recharging our batteries. This kind of life style creates lots of stress, anxiety and health issues.
Luckily, Mindfulness meditation is an effective tool to counterbalance those negative effects of the stressful times we are living in. Continue reading to see what are the actual scientific benefits of a regular Mindfulness practice.
An increasing number of leading international companies (Google, Facebook, Ebay, Accenture, Ernst & Young, Procter & Gamble) have become aware of scientifically proven benefits of mindfulness and have started using it for the long-term well-being of their employees and of the business.
At Inner Growth we are good at delivering concrete results gained by the participants in our effective Mindfulness Programs, among others:
On our workshops we teach both the knowledge points, yet the biggest focus we put on exercises and mindfulness practice, to offer an interactive, fun and engaging learning experience. After our 8 week Mindfulness Program where we present various ways of practising being mindful, the participants will become independent meditators. They will be able to continue their individual practise by themselves, choosing which practice works the best for them long-term. You can have a look at their testimonials here.
